Group Secretary

TRG’s Group Secretary plays a vital part in the running of the Group, organising meetings and events, and distributing information. Good admin skills are welcome but NO experience of horses is needed.

The Secretary is one of the Group’s eleven trustees who are responsible for ensuring that the Group operates to achieve the RDA’s objectives. The Secretary sets up the Trustee meetings which are held four times a year and are usually on Zoom, they send out a notice of meetings, draft agenda, reports, etc. and distribute all relevant papers.

Other responsibilities include
• maintain the contact list
• organise the AGM
• organise the Christmas prize giving and party.


Timings
Minimum Hours Required: 1-2 a week approx
Minimum Commitment: 6 months would be probably the minimum time needed for the secretary to provide valuable support to the Group.


Experience required

The applicant should have good organisational skills, they will be required to manage Excel spreadsheets, Word documents and emails. The ability to maintain the contact lists and respond to emails in a timely manner is required.

NO experience of horses or riding is necessary.

Travel details

Meetings are held mostly on Zoom, occasional face-to-face meetings are held at a place and time convenient to the majority of trustees.
