As a Volunteer Befriender, you will engage in 1:2:1 interactions with residents, offering companionship and support. Your time and commitment will create moments of joy and connection for those who have served our nation.

Travel details

Volunteers travel independently to Erskine Edinburgh [ out of pocket travel expenses are available]

Bus and train fares and mileage costs up to £15 daily maximum

Training details

Induction to Erskine and department
Assisting residents with Mobility
Supporting Residents at Mealtimes


Minimum age: 18


Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
