Fundraising & Engagement Volunteer (Inverclyde)

Are you passionate about animal welfare? Are you looking to make a real difference whilst learning new skills? Would you like to meet like-minded people in your local community?

Yes? Then the Scottish SPCA would love to hear from you!

We are calling upon the people of Scotland to join our army of fundraising & community engagement volunteers that we urgently need. We are Scotland’s emergency service for animals – and we do it all without any government funding. Right now, fundraising is more important than ever but we need support in every Scottish community – that is where our volunteers are vital!


What does the role involve?


The fundraising volunteer role can be tailored around your current lifestyle and commitments. With the support of the regional fundraising team, we can discuss what tasks and time commitment you are comfortable with
You will be building relationships within your local community and with our existing volunteering team across Scotland
Engaging with potential supporters and educating audiences on our vital work
Attending stalls, events and collections in your local area to raise crucial funds and awareness of our services
Identifying opportunities within your local area and working with the regional fundraising lead on making approaches for support
Having fun, learning new skills, meeting new people and gaining confidence
The role is open to anyone aged 16 and we welcome volunteers of all ages and backgrounds.

Able to drive, with access to your own vehicle
Motivated to help increase our income across Scotland
Excited to meet new people and make a difference
Based in your local community, with flexibility on how far you are willing
to travel

In your local area. We can reimburse travel expenses

Usually 15 miles to/from home at 45p/mile but will consider wider radius in rural areas

Support
Training details

You will receive a Knowledge Nest training portal account with all your statutory training. You will be supported by our friendly team and receive a full induction before you start in your new role
