Baking/Cooking Session Facilitator

Do you enjoy cooking or baking and want to make a difference? Join our Serendipities catering project — dedicated to creating inventive, delicious food while offering opportunities for adults with additional support needs and autism to develop meaningful skills.

You’ll help run small, relaxed sessions making food for our events and catering orders, working from recipes and shared ideas. Tasks include setting up, supporting participants to cook safely, encouraging independence, and helping everyone feel part of the team. You don’t need formal cookery training, just a love of food, kitchen common sense, and a kind, patient approach.

You’ll volunteer alongside one of our staff team for anything from a couple of hours to a full day. Sessions run Tuesday to Friday (10am–12pm or 1–3pm). It’s a busy, social, and rewarding role where you’ll see people flourish through creativity and connection.

Experience required

Patience, enthusiasm for food, and a friendly nature. Some basic kitchen skills. Experience supporting others are a bonus but not essential.
