Volunteer Shop Assistant

Debra are currently looking for volunteers to assist within either of the following roles:

*Cash Desk - You will learn to operate the computerised till, process cash and credit card transactions, as well as helping customers sign up to Gift-aid.

*Sales Floor - Duties include filling our rails and shelves with pre-loved items ensuring plenty of stock is on sale. Dressing windows, creating eye catching displays to entice and invite customers to browse and buy.

*Stock Room - If you like a more behind-the-scenes role, then this may be for you. We need volunteers to help sort through our donations. We never know what to expect and it all needs sorting, tagged, hanged, bagged or boxed ready for sale. This role can include use of steamer, training provided.

*Book Enthusiast - Are you a lover of all things books? Do you know your fiction from non-fiction? We are looking for volunteers who are organised, methodical with a great eye for spotting the right read for the right time.

*Jewellery and Accessories - Like a bit of bling, a bit of glitz and glamour? Then you might like to volunteer to help merchandise our jewellery and accessories. It's the make or break of any outfit. You need a sparkly eye for detail, the patience of a saint to be able to detangle, organise and display all our pretty things.

*Bric-a-brac - No home is complete without that little ornament sitting on the sideboard, or the gorgeous candle holder, the vintage tea set, or the must-have kitchen gadget. We need volunteers who enjoy sorting, cleaning and displaying a varied range of nik-naks. Additionally, soft furnishings, household linen, curtains and bedding complement our Bric-a-brac department.
