CPR Volunteer

Are you passionate about saving lives and sharing awareness of CPR in your community?

As a St John Scotland CPR volunteer you can empower people of all ages, from all walks of life, with the skills they need to save someone’s life. You don’t need to have a medical background – just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. They’ll provide you with the training you need to show people how to do CPR with confidence.

Main tasks include:



  • Responding to training requests to build a calendar of CPR events

  • Organising events

  • Delivering bystander CPR training to people of all ages and backgrounds

  • Managing the equipment required for the delivery of CPR events


If you enjoy meeting new people and want to help save lives in your area, St John Scotland would like to hear from you.


Experience required


  • First Aid, CPR and/or defibrillator knowledge/training is essential

  • Ability to communicate effectively by phone, email and in person with volunteers and organisations requesting demonstrations

  • Organised, outgoing and welcoming personality

  • Ability to talk to groups of people and give demonstrations of CPR technique

  • Access to a car is desirable


Travel details

Volunteers will organise events and deliver bystander CPR training in their local area.

Travel expenses

Expenses are reimbursed monthly at 45p per mile.

Support
Training details

  • You will be provided with the necessary training to deliver Bystander CPR Training by St John Scotland

  • Ongoing support from our staff team and CPR Leads across the country as required

  • Ongoing volunteer training, mentorship and opportunities are offered as part of your role
