St Margaret of Scotland Hospice
- VO100052
St Margaret of Scotland Hospice is the first and largest Hospice in Scotland. Since our doors opened in 1950, St Margaret of Scotland Hospice has touched the lives of thousands of patients with advanced life-limiting illness and complex medical and nursing needs, their families and friends.
We are inviting volunteers to help us in our new shop located at Clyde Shopping Centre, offering flexible hours in a face paced retail environment.
A great opportunity for students, retired people or anyone looking to develop new skills, gain new experience, whilst helping a local charity.
Organise and sort donations, good organisational skills good numeracy/counting skills and good housekeeping skills : checking the standard of items on arrival, cleaning and ironing if necessary, hanging /folding clothes, polishing shoes and stuffing bags/ purses with newspaper.
Outgoing nature, enthusiastic personality, friendly and reliable with a helpful nature, talking to customers and assisting customers knowing the location and cost of the items for sale.
So, whether you are looking to use your time well, update your skills or have the chance to do something a bit new, we would love to hear from you. In return, we can offer you a warm welcome and all of the support and help you could need.
We are seeing a rise in demand for our services, everyday. Having your help will allow us to be there for the people who need us. Any time you can give will make a real difference.
