Community Connector Support Volunteer (Midlothian)

Why we want you
1 in 5 people in the UK say they are lonely. Volunteers like you help people to
gain confidence so that they can reconnect with their local community.
What you will be doing
Give companionship to people in their home or in the community.
Help people to build confidence and self-esteem.
Support people with everyday tasks such as shopping or doctor
appointments.
Help people to use local community services and social groups.
Keep records of tasks.

Experience required

The skills you need

Have held a driving licence for at least 2 years which allows you to drive in the UK and have access to your own vehicle

Frequency & commitment
volunteer at least 2-4 hours once or twice per week for at least 12 months between Monday to Friday from 9am till 5pm.

Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
