Alloway Railway Tunnel

Our project is to create one of Scotland’s largest murals through the Alloway Railway Tunnel.
We want to transform an old, dilapidated tunnel that has been defaced with graffiti into a safe, inspiring place, with a beautiful hand painted mural by one of the UK’s top muralists and visionaries. Chris Rutterford.
Main duties:
Attend and take minutes of trustee meeting (once a month – usually on a Thursday morning)
Take minutes of artists meeting – evening meeting on MS Teams - once a month
Type up and circulate minutes to all trustees
Type up an action tracker
Prepare meeting agendas
Assist with bookings for events
Assist with other admin tasks as directed by Secretary of ART to support marketing and events
Travel expenses
Bus or train to Ayr then bus from Ayr to Alloway – expenses paid

Training details
The volunteer would be given initial training to enable them to feel comfortable in the role. The secretary of the ART Chairty would provide ongoing mentoring support.
Volunteers (aged 12-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
