Parkinson's UK Stirling and Clacks Support Group are a volunteer led, self-funded support group, affiliated to Parkinson’s UK, operating across the Stirling and Clackmannanshire area. Their aim is to help support people living with Parkinson’s, including their partners/carers, families and friends, to achieve a better quality of life. They offer information, advice, friendship and the opportunity to share their experiences with those who understand the challenges of living with Parkinson’s. Through their activities, they focus on promoting physical and mental wellbeing by reducing social isolation and keeping our members stimulated and active.

You will be required to keep membership records up to date (GDPR compliant), attend monthly meetings, email monthly newsletters, deal with membership enquiries. You will support other members of the planning committee and receive support and training from the committee and Parkison’s UK. Expected commitment is 8 – 10 hours per month although there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved with other projects.

A working knowledge of microsoft excel and email distribution is necessary. The volunteer must understand the need for confidentiality and senitivity in dealing with membership issues as many are elderly and vulnerable.
