Wellfest Event Volunteer Crew Wellbank Village Hall

About this event

We are looking for an Event Crew of twelve volunteers comprising three Traffic Marshalls, six General Crew and three Bar Assistants, for the Wellfest at Wellbank Village Hall on Saturday 10th August 2024.

Volunteering details

Wellbank Hall is a volunteer-run, charitable group who manage this community facility. The premises are sizeable with a licensed bar, extensive and attractive outdoor areas, parking and a children's playpark.

This inaugural event aims to engage with the local community, as well as folks from further afield and raise funds for running the Hall. Its’ focus is on Wellbeing and involving the community through music and entertainment.

We are modelling The Wellfest on the successful annual WestFest hosted in nearby Dundee. Wellfest will run outdoors from 1-5 pm (setup from 12pm) and then into the evening musical entertainment. Parking will be available and a range of attractions such as:
• Farmers market stalls
• Children’s entertainment, rides, games, and inflatables
• Stalls for Community and Charitable organisations
• Food vans
• Live Music
• Licensed Bar
• And more…


We are looking for:
• 3 Traffic Marshalls - directing vehicles to suitable parking areas.
• 6 General Crew Members – signposting and assisting people to activities and assistance, litter collection and queue management.
• 3 Bar Assistants – serving and general bar duties – specialist, certified training required prior to event – additional details from organiser.


Your skills, the restrictions and freebies:
• Traffic Marshalls and Bar Assistants over 18 years only
• General Crew Members – 14 years and upwards
• Friendly and outgoing personality - a team player
• Participate in short induction programme on the day
• Free food and drinks all day from the food vans


Experience required

Traffic Marshalls and Bar Assistants over 18 years only
Bar Assistants must be willing to undertake a two hour training course prior to the day - more details from the organiser
General Crew Members – 14 years and upwards
Friendly and outgoing personality - a team player
Willing to participate in short induction programme on the day
