County Treasurer

Support girls and young women for an hour a week to have adventures, have fun, and make a difference in their local community! Join our team of volunteers, with groups meeting across the Borders.

Would you like to go on fun adventures, explore and laugh with friends?

At Girlguiding we do everything from camping to campaigning! We’re all about girls and young women laughing, learning and having adventures. Why not join the fun?


Our county team meet about 5 times a year to make amazing things happen for girls and young women in the Borders. Come be an essential part of the team – help plan county budgets, keep accounts and arrange reviews, approve and make payments as required, support the volunteer team and groups across Borders to make magic happen!


Our volunteers are what makes Girlguiding amazing, and we welcome people of all backgrounds and walks of life. Come have a chat with us, you won’t regret it!


Experience required

No previous skills or experience needed! Just a smile and a can-do attitude.

Travel details

Some in person meetings, and some online support, Scottish Borders region

Training details

No training needed for this role. However, if you’d like to get more involved in what events are organised we can provide - basic safeguarding training online, PVG paid for by us, potential for additional in person or online trainings e.g. administration, first aid.
