Great Scottish Run

Volunteering details

Come and join Team Macmillan at the Great Scottish Run 2024. As well as having fun cheering on our incredible runners, you'll be raising awareness for Macmillan Cancer Support and doing whatever it takes to support people living with cancer.

We have two cheerpoint locations for this event. Please note timings and locations may be subject to change by event organisers. Exact details will be confirmed in your volunteer brief sent a few weeks before the event.

We try to be as flexible as possible so please speak to a member of the team if you're unable to commit to one of the full shifts listed or have any concerns.

Experience required

No formal skills are required. We're looking for people with enthusiasm who will help us support Macmillan runners taking part in the Great Scottish Run - whether that's by cheering, waving and offering a warm smile.
