The role involves driving one of our Mini-buses to collect clients from their homes in the Greater Glasgow area and bringing them to our site at Milton of Campsie. This is generally Monday to Friday, between 8.30-10.30am. There are also volunteer driver opportunities taking our clients home between 2.30-4.30pm.
Silver Birch is a non profit charity and social enterprise who provide work focused training opportunities to adults with learning disabilities mainly through the provision of Social & Therapeutic Horticulture (STH). We also run a small social enterprise garden centre where all takings are reinvested back into our organisation
Experience required
It is essential that the volunteer has a D1 category on their driving license

Support
Training details
The volunteer will receive training before driving commences. They will also have the opportunity to shadow a member of staff
Restrictions
Minimum age: 25
Volunteers (aged 25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
