Support At Home Good Neighbours Volunteer (Anstruther)

Support at Home volunteers transform the lives of individuals by supporting and empowering them to live the life they want and helping them to stay connected to their communities. Whether it is by driving individuals to a destination, company to go shopping, guidance on nutrition or being there to improve confidence and reduce isolation.
You will support an individual to identify what would improve their live and support them to take positive steps to connect to their community which could include one to one group activities and may link into other services in the area.

Experience required

The volunteer will need to have a friendly personality and good communication skills, with a non-judgmental attitude towards an individual’s circumstances and a willingness to ensure confidentiality.
They will receive relevant training for the role and will be welcomed and supported by a friendly, local team.

Travel details

This opportunity takes place in the Anstruther area.

Travel expenses

Volunteers can claim expenses incurred travelling to and from their duties. Drivers are re-imbursed at 45p per mile, we pay public transportation rates. Volunteers can claim weekly or monthly.

Support
Training details

The volunteer will be part of a team of volunteers and staff who will support them.
Royal Voluntary Service has a training website available for all volunteers. There are also workbooks available to anyone without access to a computer.
