Volunteer Creche Workers needed to support in therapeutic creche setting

For almost three decades, CrossReach has successfully supported people experiencing the impact of perinatal mental health difficulties (commonly known as post-natal depression or PND). CrossReach’s Bluebell Perinatal Service provides counselling and a crèche service for our counselling clients. These Perinatal Services enable parents/carers and their babies to move forward to secure a positive future.

We are currently looking for volunteers to join our crèche team! Our volunteers use their unique child caring skills and expertise to create a safe, enjoyable, and calm space for children (up to the age of five years old) whilst their parent(s) are in counselling.

Your duties would include:

  • Setting up and tidying up the crèche

  • Warmly welcoming everyone using the crèche

  • Creating and maintaining a safe, creative, and sensitive environment for the clients and young children

  • Playing with the young children

  • Caring for and nurturing the young children (including nappy changing and feeding when needed)

  • Maintaining Bluebell’s codes of confidentiality and conduct (including Health and Safety)

Once you have filled out our application forms you will be invited to interview and to attend training. A PVG will then be applied for on your behalf, once this is through you will then be a part of our CrossReach Bluebell Creche team!

If you are interested please click the ‘Apply’ button below (available when logged in and registered). You will then be contacted by the coordinator by email or phone call. If you have not heard back after 5 working days, the first step is to contact the organisation with the contact details provided. You could also check your junk/spam folder on your emails just in case the response is there. If that doesn’t work out then please feel free to contact Volunteer Glasgow on info@volunteerglasgow.org.
