Group Coordinator Volunteers

The MS Aberdeen Group are seeking Group Coordinator Volunteers.

The Group Coordinator leads a diverse group of volunteers in their efforts to service and provide benefits to the MS community of Aberdeen and south Aberdeenshire. It requires leadership across multiple disciplines including dealing with service providers, finance, events and fundraising, health & safety, administration and communications. The role involves engagement with other volunteers groups within Scotland and with the MS Society.

Travel details

The opportunity is Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire based. The role will involve infrequent travel to locations within the Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire area. Ideally the candidates will have their own transport. Travel expenses are reimbursable.

Travel expenses

Approved expenses can be claimed monthly in arrears. This includes public transport costs and private car costs. Subsistence costs will be met where appropriate.

Support
Training details

Excellent support and relevant guidance is provided to all volunteers. The MS Society has a comprehensive induction and learning programme for all roles. Volunteers are also supported by the Volunteer Support Team and Development Officers.

Minimum age: 18

Frequency & commitment
Flexible times available-all help greatly appreciated.

Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
