Meaningful Activities Volunteer

By providing company and companionship, volunteers will be enhancing the patient experience and helping to reduce any feelings of isolation and loneliness.

Activities include:
• Chatting and listening to patients.
• Reading to patients.
• Playing board games.
• Reminiscence activities using discussion, books and other resources.

Experience required

• Helpful, friendly and caring.
• Ability to use own initiative.
• Confidence in a hospital setting.

Travel details

Mid-Argyll is accessible by car, foot and local bus services.

Taster

An "Expression of Interest" visit can be organised at point of enquiry and an induction is available on start.

Restrictions

Minimum age: 16
A PVG certificate is required and organised by the volunteer coordinator.
