Trustee

An exciting opportunity has arisen within TACT Community Hall for trustees to join our
Board. We are currently working with South Lanarkshire Council to complete a
Community Asset Transfer for the TACT building and grounds in Blantyre.
Individuals with a background in general administration, fundraising, facilities
management, current or previous voluntary sector experience would be particularly
welcomed but this is not a condition as full training will be given.
Some board members duties include:
• Attending board meetings monthly.
• Ensuring good governance of the organisation.
• Contributing to policies and procedures
• Fostering positive working relationships
• Working collectively with other board members
The role will involve overseeing the current service and development of future projects,
like the Community Asset Transfer, and contributing proactively to the Board in reaching
quality decisions.
We meet monthly for around 2 hours and have occasional correspondence in between
meetings for any business that cannot wait until the next meeting. Additional time will be
required from the successful candidate to pursue project activity.
If you feel you have the time and the passion to make a difference to our organisation by
becoming a board member please get in touch for an informal chat.
