Wild & Kind CIC
- VO101169
About Us:
Wild & Kind is a neurodivergent-led Community Interest Company located in Bridgeton, in Glasgow’s East End.
Founded in 2017, we started as an ethical embroidery and printing studio, dedicated to empowering marginalized genders through art workshops, subsidised access to equipment, skill-building opportunities, and living wage employment.
Due to the challenges posed by the fluctuating economy, our organisation’s social mission and methodology have evolved, which led to a strategic reset in 2023. We have since transitioned away from print and embroidery services and are now focused on leveraging the skills and experience we've gained to directly support other neurodivergent creatives, third-sector workers, and social entrepreneurs. We look to:
- increase inclusivity in the arts by providing workshops and training for creatives from underrepresented groups
- advance the education, empowerment, and financial literacy of social entrepreneurs from underrepresented groups through workshops and training sessions, with a primary focus on neurodivergent individuals, and those from SIMD communities
- enable wider participation of underrepresented groups in the third sector through a blend of online and in-person support and community-building
- increase access to peer support for creatives and social entrepreneurs
- increase income stream opportunities for social enterprises
