Join Our Team at Linthouse Community Shop! We are looking for a shop assistant to volunteer on a Tuesday from 2pm til 6pm.

The Linthouse Community Shop is quickly becoming a vibrant hub within the Linthouse/Govan area. With hundreds of members and growing every week, we're eager to expand our volunteer team to meet increasing demand and continue supporting our community.

About the Role:
We're looking for friendly faces to help run our affordable food club in the Govan area of Glasgow. No experience is needed - we’ll provide all the training. What’s most important is a positive attitude and a willingness to lend a hand.

At the Linthouse Community Shop, people come not just to shop but to enjoy a cup of tea, a biscuit, and a chat.
We’re looking for volunteers to help maintain this warm and welcoming atmosphere. If you can make a cup of tea (or three!), that’s a bonus!

What You’ll Do:
Assist with food distribution and customer service
Help with deliveries and stock shelves
Price items and keep shelves stocked, clean, and tidy
Serve refreshments like tea and biscuits
Ensure the space remains tidy and inviting

What We’re Looking For:
A friendly, approachable demeanor
Willingness to pitch in where needed
No prior experience is necessary

Time Commitment:
We ask for at least two hours of your time each week, but if you can offer more, we’d love to discuss that with you.
Our current volunteer hours are on Tuesdays from 2pm to 6pm.
