Garden and Crafter Volunteers

This is to come along occasionally and help out with gardening and crafting tasks at our Allotment Group that meets every Tuesday (just off of Pitmedden Terrace, Garthdee between 10am-1pm).

We support people with a Learning Disability and or poor mental health to come outside and learn how to grow different food and plants this helps with healthy eating, cost of living and being outside and in a sociable group helps promote friendships and good mental health.

In the winter months we often hire a room in Inchgarth Community Centre and do various crafts.

Relevant guidance and excellent support is provided to all volunteers. You will be invited to come along to the group and meet the participants and see what we do. You can ask questions and see if our group is suitable for you. Full support is given for the people that attend so you would not need to support people on your own.

This is a fantastic opportunity to help and make a real, positive difference for people and the community. All assistance is greatly appreciated. For more information please contact Claire Foulser, Senior Support Worker at email: cfoulser@aberdeencity.gov.uk or telephone: 0795584682.
