Student Ambassador Programme - Survivors of Human Trafficking in Scotland

Volunteering details

SOHTIS is a leading anti-human trafficking NGO in Scotland. Human trafficking is happening in all 32 local authorities in Scotland, on each of our doorsteps. Hidden and misunderstood, We are committed to bringing freedom to victims and survivors of human trafficking in Scotland. At our heart is compassion and so we go the extra mile, tenacity in our pursuit of justice, dignity expressed in equity and respect for every person’s journey. We have an experienced team who are active in service delivery and strategic local and national policy.

Our prestigious Student Ambassador Programme is a unique opportunity to work alongside diverse subject matter experts in an area of social justice and human rights. It provides opportunities to develop and add to your skills, access valuable training, connect with others from different institutions and aim for one of our Annual Awards. Places are competitive, however, wherever and whatever you are studying, you can register your interest.

We understand that everyone has their own unique work-study-life balance to manage. With this in mind we have designed a Programme that you can make work for you and your schedule. This is a one semester programme that you will follow, touching on areas of awareness raising, fundraising and making connections. You will have the freedom to complete a challenge that suits your area of interest whether that falls within a creative, active or educational category (or something completely unique). We will be here to support you every step of the way.
