Charity Cycle Support Volunteer

Volunteering details

We’re in need of around 25 volunteers. You may know, our next event is the KWS Cycle taking place on 5th October 2024. There are various volunteering opportunities available and we’d love to have your help if you can make it. You don’t need any prior experience as most roles are fairly simple and we’ll make sure to offer a full briefing and instructions prior to the day. We’re looking for support with the following • Feed station at Midmar Hall – help set up and give out refreshments - 9.30am to 4pm (ish) – can be done in shifts if needed (x4 people) • Feed station at Premnay Hall – to help set up and give out refreshments – 9.30 am to 2pm (x2 people) • Feed station at Riverside Cafe, Dyce – to help guide people to refreshments – 10am to 12pm (x2 people) • Axis Centre, Newmachar – to help set up and give out refreshments; support the registration; marshal (guide people to registration and start line); welcome and sign back in finishers; hand out medals and certificates to finishers; write finisher certificates; sell merchandise - various start and finish times between 7.30am and 5pm (x10 people) • 11 mile and 16 mile route marshals at different crossings on the railway line (Newmachar to Dyce and back) – 10am to 1pm (x 4 people per crossing if possible) We have various timings available as you can see, part day or whole day. We have some options that finish around lunch time and others that will finish when all the cyclists return at around 5pm.
