West Lothian Council's Active Schools and Community Sport team are delighted to be hosting our annual Cross Country Championships once again at Bathgate Xcite, Bolbardie Park, on Wednesday October 9th.
We are looking for volunteers to support in a variety of exciting roles from greeting participants to setting up the course, and from marshalling runners to assisting with medal presentations.
If you are interested in helping making this event a success for children and young people at schools across West Lothian, please get in touch and we can discuss how to make this opportunity most suitable for you.
Please note that whilst expenses are not paid, all volunteers will be provided with tea, coffee, water and light snacks on the day.

Training details
Short briefings via e-mail or phone call, followed by full briefing on event day and support from full-time staff including key groups / buddying-up.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 16
This opportunity may involve time spent walking / wheeling and sitting or standing outside at various locations around the track. If able, volunteers may be asked to move (light) resources including stopwatches, stationary, clipboards, etc.
Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
