Steering Group Member

Do you want to get involved in a new project in Arbroath which could build neighbourliness, increase social connections and develop kindness in the community?

Following a local consultation, a local group of people are wanting to set up a Timebank within Arbroath. This new and exciting project aims to increase social connections and networks within Arbroath, by using time and skills as a principal currency. Similar initiatives have been very successful in other parts of Scotland and the UK, and local feedback has been positive.

Aiming to be constituted and recruiting timebank members as soon as possible, the group would like to invite individuals (or even organisations) to be part of something unique within Arbroath by joining the steering group. The steering group will be key in developing the idea of a timebank further, helping to shape the way that it works and what it will do.

Don’t worry if you have never done anything like this before! There is lots of support along the way and the group would rather have members from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Meetings are currently once a month in the evening, but this could change depending on the group.
