The Retired and Senior Volunteer Programme (RSVP) encourages and supports people aged 50+ to volunteer in their local communities. We are looking for people who are interested in volunteering within primary schools, in the Clackmannanshire area.
In this role, you may support pupils with reading, writing, or numbers in small groups. Alternatively there are opportunities to support the teacher in the classroom environment during arts and crafts, music, drama or any other activities suggested by the class teacher. You may also support the school with playground monitoring or school trips.
The activities that you carry out are flexible and can be agreed between yourself and the school. Flexible volunteering hours is also available to suit your needs and availability.
Experience required
Good people skills, able to relate to children and young people
Patient, compassionate, flexible
Interest in supporting children in a school environment

Training details
Induction and any relevant training , and support, will be offered
Restrictions
Minimum age: 50
This role requires a PVG (Criminal Record Check). We will discuss this with you following your application, and support you during this process.
Availability
Frequency & commitment
Flexible - to be arranged between volunteer and school
Volunteers (aged 50-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
