NSPCC Clacks

Half a million children in the UK experience abuse every year, that's 7 children in every classroom before they turn 18. Together we can change this.
The NSPCC Speak Out Stay Safe programme was established in 2011 to deliver classroom based Speak out. Stay safe workshops for children aged 6-7 and 9-11 years.
Experience required
If you are:
· passionate about helping children and young people;
· excited about communicating with others;
· empathetic, perceptive and supportive;
· able to think on your feet;
· able to work well within a team;
you have the qualities that could make you a great fit for the volunteer team!
Support
Taster
Alongside other volunteers you will visit primary schools twice a month to deliver classroom based Speak out. Stay Safe workshops for children aged 6-7 and 9-11 years.
You will take pride in empowering children to speak out and stay safe. There will be lots of opportunity to learn and develop new skills throughout your volunteer journey, and the team will be here to support you.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 16
None.
Frequency & commitment
Twice a month.
Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
