The Retired and Senior Volunteer Programme (RSVP) encourages and supports people aged 50+ to volunteer in their local communities. We are looking for people over the age of 50, who are interested in volunteering within Forth Valley Royal Hospital.
Volunteers provide important support to the NHS, with the aim of making a visit to the hospital a better experience for patients and visitors. We have several volunteering roles available in different NHS departments including meet and greet, in the discharge lounge, and in oncology.
Volunteers contribute to the well-being of patients and visitors by being a listening ear, a helpful and friendly face or even helping with a cup of tea. Our volunteers feel valued, make new friends and keep active in retirement.
Experience required
Are you friendly? Do you have good people and communication skills?
Volunteers should respect for patient confidentiality, have the ability to commit to a regular session
and have an interest in volunteering within a hospital setting.
Travel details
Forth Valley Royal Hospital, Larbert.
Travel expenses
Travel expenses are not available.
Support
Training details
Volunteers will receive an induction to the organisation.
Ongoing training relevant to the role will be provided as well as ongoing support.
Taster
Taster session could be arranged with new volunteers.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 50
Volunteers must be over the age of 50 due to the aims of the organisation.

3 hours per week. Flexible.
Volunteers (aged 50-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
