Eyemouth Charity Shop volunteers

Bavs charity shops are the go-to location in Berwickshire to meet your pre-loved small retail needs. Our shops are supporting the movement towards reducing waste, while generating income to support grass roots community projects.

The shop collects once loved treasure’s from across Berwickshire to give them a chance to become loved once more, generating income that is distributed back into the local community via Bavs Microgrant scheme.

Our shops are well established and run largely on the goodwill of our dedicated volunteers, but even they need some downtime. So, we are looking for people that can support the running of the retail shop by helping sort donations, pricing items, and/or operating the till. It’s a real community feel in our shops, and we welcome everyone who has time to spare, and an interest in being part of a recycle, reuse, re-love community.

We would also welcome anyone with an interest in branding, marketing and online sales. We are keen to promote the good work of Bavs and branch out into the modern world of online markets. This volunteering opportunity would be more flexible and would work for someone who wants to give back, but perhaps has other commitments also.

Experience required

Regardless of your skill, experience or qualification, or whether you have none, we want to hear from you. All you need to bring is a willingness to work together, and a desire to be part of what helps Berwickshire thrive. All training relevant to roles within the shop will be provided and can go at a pace that suits you.
