Volunteering details

As a team member, you will work to raise awareness for SolidariTee on campus, organise fundraising events and sell out t-shirts. You will be led by your team lead and supported by SolidariTees central team.

What makes SolidariTee unique is that fundraising goes hand in hand with awareness-raising and campaigning in everything that we do. We also have our t-shirt collection (that’s where we get our name!), all of which are designed by artists with lived experience of migration, and which is central to what we do on campus. Not only are they a fantastic fundraising tool, but each tee is a visual, physical show of solidarity with refugees and other people forced to flee their homes.
Each uni team is responsible for:

  • organising a mixture of fundraising and awareness-raising events - these range from conferences and panel discussions through to club nights, painting and pottery sessions, quizzes and more!

  • selling SolidariTee t-shirts to raise money for refugee legal aid and mental health support

  • building a campus presence and working to make sure that as many people as possible have accurate information about refugee issues and ways to support
