Either Chairperson or Vice-chairperson MUST attend all committee meetings in person or online to chair meetings.
· Assist the Chair with ensuring regular committee meetings are organised and run smoothly, efficiently and on time.
· Delegate tasks to other members of the group and make sure these are completed.
· Act as a key spokesperson for the group and liaise with any required third parties in place of the Chair as necessary.
· Deliver any Chairperson/Financial/Fundraising Reports at committee meetings in place of the Chairperson/Treasurer/Fundraiser as necessary.
· Support the Treasurer in financial management.
· Support the Secretary in administrative duties.
· Review meeting agendas and minutes with the Chair and Secretary as necessary.
· Assist the chair with obtaining relevant insurances/licences as necessary. Including but not limited to public liability insurance, lottery licences and relevant certification (such as food hygiene and first aid) as necessary for the group’s operation.
· Assist with the compilation of risk assessments for any SAAM events.
· Assist the chair to ensure SAAM adherence to various guidelines e.g. GDPR and the constitution etc.

Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
