Charity Trustee/Company Director

Thank you for showing an interest in the valuable work of Seabank House. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join the Board of a long - established Aberdeen charity supporting people with mental health problems. Seabank House has provided support and assistance for up to 24 vulnerable adult residents for over one hundred years . We are a non profit making organisation with 2 facilities in Aberdeen city. The facilities are managed by a Project Manager who reports directly to the Chair. Our purpose is to support people with mental health issues to live fulfilling lives in a homely environment .

Seabank House is continually improving and and developing the service to meet the changing needs of our residents and supporting them to work towards achieving their full potential. We are actively looking for additional volunteers , with life experience to join the Board in taking our charity to the next step in their development.

You may have experience of senior management , business development, finance and/or accountancy or be someone seeking to further develop these skills. You will play a crucial leadership role in taking forward the work of Seabank House and ensuring it meets its objectives and legal obligations .

As a group of trustees we are beginning a major review of our services and you would be expected to contribute to this process. In addition to attending General Committee meetings you will be expected to work in either the Finance or House sub- committees of the Board.

We value a collaborative ethos in our way of working and work as a team to build a culture of inclusion and respect for all. We extend the opportunity to work in this manner to all our trustees.

We would welcome the opportunity to interview prospective candidates.

We would expect you to make a declaration that you are not disqualified from being a charity trustee.

For further details please contact Helen Burr, Chair at email: Helenburr57@gmail.com or telephone: 07751851610.
