Volunteer Driver - Maryhill area

QUARRIERS – HELP SOMEONE SMILE AGAIN

Are you looking to make a positive impact in the lives of others?

We urgently require a volunteer driver to drive an adapted automatic vehicle to collect/drop off a vulnerable and isolated service user and a member of staff to allow them to attend activities, groups, and appointments. Ensure our service users and staff members arrive at activities and back home safely. Help someone disadvantaged from missing out.

Your support can make a big difference for individuals who need assistance getting to medical appointments, schools, community centres, and other vital destinations. Help someone disadvantaged from missing out.

Main Tasks

  • Drive adult/child and staff members safely to and from various locations.

  • Offer a friendly, supportive presence during trips.

Training
We provide training to make sure you are supported in your volunteering role. This ranges from volunteer induction to specific training you will need for your role.

What's in it for you?
By volunteering with us, you can:

have new experiences
build confidence and self-esteem
use your skills and learn something new
be valued and appreciated
gain a sense of achievement
make a difference in the community
meet new people
have fun!

You will be provided with a named member of staff (your supervisor) at the relevant service or department. The staff member will provide
supervision and will be your point of contact should you have any issues or concerns while volunteering.

If you're interested, please click the ‘apply’ button below (available when logged in and registered). You will then be contacted by the coordinator by email or phone call. If you have not heard back after 5 working days, the first step is to contact the organisation with the contact details provided. You could also check your junk/spam folder on your emails just in case the response is there. If that doesn’t work out then please feel free to contact Volunteer Glasgow on info@volunteerglasgow.org.
