Do you enjoy being outdoors? Would you like to be part of the team to transform some of our spaces into green and welcoming spaces for our staff and patients?
You will assist the Ranger with planting, dead heading and some basic garden maintenance as well as support with creative projects to enhance communal spaces around the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh hospital. Sessions are normally held on the last Tuesday of the month.
Experience required
You must be committed and punctual. You need to be comfortable working outdoors. Waterproofs and gloves will be provided but you must have your own sturdy footwear and warm clothing.
Some knowledge of gardening/working outdoors is desirable but not essential. We are happy to support a range of abilities and interests.
Travel details
We are serviced by a number of buses. Parking is available onsite – information on access will be provided to you if you intend on driving to the site.

Frequency & commitment
2 hours per month. 6 months minimum commitment.
Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
