The role supports Red Dot radio's technical equipment, including our range of analogue and digital systems within the studios, streaming services between hospital sites and onto the internet. The main tasks are assisting with maintenance, update and development of: IT systems in the studios and office, including Microsoft and Linux operating systems; central server and streaming services; email, website, record library and other software; faultfinding and repair of analogue equipment and systems

The Red Dot radio studios are on the second floor of the Western General Hospital, Crewe Road South, Edinburgh EH4 2XU. There is on-site parking as well as several bus links. Our phone number is 0131 537 5353.

Training details

Initial training will focus on expanding your knowledge of existing systems, equipment configurations and documentation. Development work and fault finding with colleagues will reinforce your knowledge base.
