Move On (East Lothian)
- VO101691
Move On is looking for empathetic, dedicated individuals to join our team of intandem mentors in Edinburgh and the Lothians.
The intandem project works with young people in the care system, a group identified by the Scottish government as being particularly vulnerable.
As a mentor you will support your mentee to achieve their goals, improve their overall confidence and help them reach positive destinations.
All expenses are covered and Move On provides extensive training to all volunteers before becoming a mentor. This training covers a wide range of topics including child and adult protection, trauma, maintaining boundaries with mentees, mental health, LGBT+ awareness and dealing with challenging situations in the mentoring role. We also offer additional training throughout the year to all volunteers, as well as social events and volunteer steering groups.
