Presentation Facilitators

We are seeking passionate and enthusiastic volunteers to deliver Headstrong, a mental health awareness presentation, to community sports clubs. The Headstrong program is designed to educate athletes, coaches, and members about mental health, resilience, and well-being, equipping them with tools and strategies to support mental fitness both on and off the field.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver Headstrong presentations to sports teams, coaches, and staff at local community sports clubs.
• Engage with the audience, ensuring interactive and impactful delivery of the content.
• Be confident in discussing suicide and suicide prevention.
• Answer basic questions related to mental health and signpost individuals to relevant resources or professionals when necessary.
• Represent the Headstrong program positively and professionally, promoting mental health awareness.
• Collect feedback from participants and report it back to the program coordinator for continuous improvement.
• Attend training sessions to stay updated on mental health topics and presentation best practices.

Experience required

• Strong communication and public speaking skills.
• Passion for mental health advocacy and promoting well-being in sports communities.
• Ability to engage with diverse groups, including athletes, coaches, and club staff.
• Comfortable facilitating group discussions and answering questions.
• Reliable, professional, and organised.
• Experience in sports (as an athlete, coach, or fan) is beneficial but not required.
• Basic knowledge of mental health or willingness to learn (training will be provided).
