Volunteer Youth Work Assistant

Can Do is an exceptional charity offering fun, friendship and adventures for young people with disabilities living in East Lothian aged 5-18 years.

We are always looking for volunteers aged 15 years and over(no age limit). Come join our team at our school holiday playschemes(6 hrs per day)and/or term time weekly youth clubs(2 hrs per night)to help the young people in our service join in activities, access their local community and be included.

There is so much fun to be had volunteering with our Charity. Activities range from arts and crafts, hula-hooping and marshmallow-toasting to trampolining, swimming, encounters with animals, even kayaking and so much more!


We offer a PVG check, induction and training Child Protection training before starting. Transport usually can be provided for those who stay within East Lothian. Let us know what you can commit to we are really flexible.

In house Induction, Child Protection- Some regularly offered training Challenging behaviour, Autism, Communication, Epilepsy, Play opportunities. Other opportunities may become available.
