Southern Sound is an internet Hospital radio station based in Govan and we have BIG plans!
We have ambitions to be DAB broadcaster and are looking for experienced volunteers to join our team!
Southern Sound Hospital Radio is looking for volunteers to help with all disciplines including: presenting, technical support, program controlling and request collecting.
Hospital Radio has evolved! No longer do we just transmit to The Queen Elizabeth university Hospital! We have full internet service that can be accessed worldwide and are working in conjunction with Quality Radio to provide shows on the Glasgow DAB network!
We are looking for volunteers who want to fulfil that lifelong dream of being on the airwaves! Full training will be given on our two recently upgraded stations in Govan, close to the underground station.
If you are more of a techie and want to be expand your knowledge of how a station works than we can offer you experience of helping in the studios, show production and program controlling.
On the other hand if you just want to have a natter and give someone some a bedside boost, we are happy to welcome you to our request collector team.
