Room Guide

Room Guides play a key role in welcoming visitors from all over the world to Kellie Castle & Garden and ensuring they make the most of their visit. From welcoming visitors and providing Guided Tours or partaking in Open Guiding, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and enthusiasm about the long history of the property and the talented families who once lived there. You also play an important role in promoting the National Trust for Scotland, an independent charity that speaks up for Scotland’s heritage, cares for historic properties, and protects our natural landscapes and the wildlife that call them home.

Experience required

No experience is required, just a genuine interest in the preservation of Scottish heritage, a willingness to learn & share that information while engaging with visitors from all backgrounds & cultures, as well as an enthusiasm for the work and values of the National Trust for Scotland.

Travel details

All opportunities are based on the property. The property is not on public transport routes but has car parking available, including accessible parking at castle, and bike racks.

Nearest public transport stop is Pittenweem. A Flexibus from local villages is available by pre-booking on 01382 540624 or the Flexibus App – ‘FLEXIBUS 2.0’

Travel expenses

The National Trust for Scotland can reimburse travel expenses and fuel costs (45p per mile). These can be easily claimed back through the Trust's online system.
