Support at Home Volunteer

You will offer a 1-1 service to people who have returned home from a hospital stay or to someone in the community at risk of admission. The type of support is person centred and can include social companionship; 1-1 assisted walks; gentle chair based or standing exercises; accompanying them to groups/social activities; help with food shopping or transport to appointments.

Our support is short term (6 weeks) aimed to provide encouragement to those who lack motivation. This is a rewarding volunteering role in which you will be developing a trusting relationship with the client and reporting back to the office if there are concerns regarding their welfare.

When matched with a client you will commit to 6 weekly visits at 1 hour per visit.
