Youth Climate Action Network Volunteer

The Youth Climate Action Network core group will help to steer the direction of the network as it develops, particularly with social media, e.g. Instagram, and tailored communication work.

The purpose of this role is to help more young people get involved in Climate Action and to increase the capacity for Climate Action in West Lothian.

The volunteer will benefit from climate action training (in house and external), support from staff and WLCAN Hub, and those experienced in the environmental sector. There may be an opportunity to join the Board too as our young persons representative and subject to your interests, skills and aptitudes.

This person may be a senior high school student, at college or university or looking for work, and want to build up their CV. We are open to other possibilities and suggestions, including combining this with relevant research and other project work.

Experience required

Volunteers do not need to have expertise or experience, just a passion for climate action and an enthusiasm for meeting and talking to new people.
