Forth Valley Sensory Centre is a place where people with a visual or hearing loss, their friends, families, carers and the wider community can access quality services and advice from our partner organisations. The Centre is inclusive, accessible, and aims to promote the involvement of the wider community and build positive relationships across the Forth Valley area.
The role would involve being a guide for blind and partially sighted Centre attendees and in assisting our drivers when out and about. For Centre attendees, this would involve guiding people to, during, and from activities when outside the Centre. For our drivers, it would entail telling the drivers the best route to take when collecting people for activities.
Full sighted guide training will be provided. Job and education references can be provided on request after volunteering with us for a set period. The role is flexible and there is no set time obligation.
