Hospitality, Kitchen and Community Cafe Volunteers

Our charity provides services that promote physical, mental, emotional, and community wellbeing, support low-income families, foster community cohesion, combat isolation and champion sustainability and the circular economy.

As a hospitality, kitchen and café volunteer, you will be an essential part of our community cafe team, helping to offer a warm, welcoming space to all who visit - whether to sample our good home cooked food, enjoy a warm space or to socialise to reduce rural isolation. The cafe is an important social and wellbeing asset to our region and volunteers are vital to its success.

Your responsibilities will include: kitchen porter duties, washing dishes, cleaning tables; assisting with food preparation; serving customers, taking orders; helping to maintain a clean, tidy and organised kitchen and cafe space; learning about hospitality and excellent customer service; create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere

In return, we offer employability skills training, agreed volunteer outcomes, or simply the chance to meet and socialise with like-minded people and to be part of a vital rural community hub.

No experience is needed – we provide full training and support to help you feel confident in your role. Young people can work towards their Saltire Awards with our volunteering scheme.

Our facility is fully accessible.
