The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice is a registered Scottish charity that provides palliative care and support for people living in South Glasgow and East Renfrewshire. All of our services for patients, their families and carers are free. Our mission is to provide high quality, person-centred care for all those affected by life-limiting conditions.
Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice is currently looking to fill a variety of volunteer roles/shifts to assist in our BARGACREE Café.
Specifically, we are looking for weekly volunteers to assist with cashier/till, table-service, dishwashing, and more. We have shifts available Monday to Sunday, 9:30 AM to Noon, Noon to 3 PM, or 2:30 PM to 5 PM.
We do look for a certain amount of commitment from our volunteers. Normally volunteer shifts are between two and three hours once a week, once a fortnight or once a month. But come in and have a discussion with us about your time limits and we will see how best we can make use of your skills and time.
The café is open to patients and their families, staff and the general public. There’s a wonderful view of our gardens to soak up while enjoying a coffee or your lunch. The middle of the café is open and public, with smaller, more private pods along each side of the café
To learn more about the Cafe, visit https://www.princeandprincessofwaleshospice.org.uk/who-we-are/bargacree-cafe or email Volunteering@PPWH.org.uk
If you are interested please contact us at volunteering@ppwh.org.uk. Our Volunteer Services Manager or Administrator will then be in touch with further information and our Application Form Pack (please check junk/spam folders just in case the response is in there). Once we receive your application pack, we will then get you in for an informal chat with our Volunteer Services Manager to discuss your availability and organise a trial shift.
