Tree Planter

We are looking for volunteers to help with a tree planting project in East Renfrewshire, with the aim of planting 10,000 trees by the end of March 2025. Participants will gain experience in planting native, broadleaf trees in green spaces across the area, along with all the benefits of spending time outdoors. Some sessions will also include an element of Citizen Science where we will learn how to identify trees in their winter stages.

All tools and training will be provided, just bring warm clothing and sturdy footwear. We normally plant for a few hours in the morning before stopping for lunch (tea and biscuits provided) and then another hour or so after lunch.

We have regular sessions up until the end of March. Volunteers are welcome to come to as many or as few sessions as they are able to.

Travel details

Various locations across East Renfrewshire, including but not limited to Barrhead Park, Leslie Avenue, Rouken Glen, Jerry Park, Spiersbridge.
