Activity Volunteer - Hope for Autism

Hope for Autism encourages positive autism practice. Through the delivery of safe and inclusive services, we provide opportunities for children, young adults and their families to feel less isolated, to have a voice, and to build community capacity.

Hope provides weekly special interest group sessions, monthly drop in support groups, events, and much more.

We are recruiting for volunteers to support our activities and group work to ensure staff provide the services that best meet the needs of our young people and their families. Volunteers can commit to as little or as many hours as they wish.

Hope has a variety of different groups that run 6 days a week, across various locations. Volunteers can decide which days they wish to volunteer and at which groups, depending on their individual availability.

Experience required

The ideal candidate for volunteering with Hope for Autism would be a patient, understanding, friendly individual who is a good listener and has good communication skills.

Someone who is confident enough and can work comfortably with children and young people with additional support needs, providing support and encouragement.
