Volunteer Facilities Assistant

Volunteer Facilities Assistants will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of Cornerstone House Centre’s large multipurpose Community Hub facility in Cumbernauld town centre by assisting with the coordination and management of room bookings and facilities hire. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth functioning of a vital community resource, ensuring that various groups and individuals can effectively utilise a valuable space for positive activities.

A key element of the role will be helping set up rooms and equipment as per the requirements of different bookings, ensuring spaces are ready for use. Assisting in managing room and facilities bookings, including scheduling, confirming reservations and maintaining accurate records will also form part of the role, whilst communicating with individuals and groups interested in hiring facilities and providing information on availability, pricing and terms of use will may also be required.

Other aspects include operating a centralised booking calendar, processing booking forms and assist with invoicing and payment tracking as guided. Volunteers may also be involved in gathering feedback from facility users to inform improvements and ensure high levels of satisfaction are maintained.

Experience required

A strong ability to manage schedules, bookings and administrative tasks efficiently will be beneficial to the role, as will a keen eye for detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and facility set-up.
