Change Grow Live - West Lothian, are looking to build our team of volunteers.

Are you over 18 years old and interested in working within an adults drug and alcohol service supporting people in their recovery and engaging in the recovery community? If so, the Community Volunteer role may be for you! You would be volunteering in our Recovery Café and Harm Reduction Café.

The Recovery Café’s run twice a week in the afternoons, we have two locations in West Lothian, Blackburn on a Monday and Livingston on a Thursday. The cafe's are a place for the recovery community to come together, relax and socialise while enjoying a tea/coffee and some light snacks.

The Harm Reduction Café is in it's early stages of opening and we are looking for a volunteer to support the smooth running and volunteer alongside the workers.

This is a rewarding role for someone who has approximately 4 hours once or twice a week while the café’s are running. The role is suitable for someone who has good boundaries, reliable, friendly, punctual and wants to help support people to connect and engage in the recovery community.

Experience required

You will be volunteering with people in an addictions recovery service and dealing with the recovery community. Experience of this would be beneficial but not mandatory.
You must be over 18, reliable, punctual, friendly, welcoming and you will need to have good boundaries. Ongoing training and support will be given.

Travel details

Bathgate, West Lothian is the base and the volunteering will be during our Community Cafes in West Lothian locations.
